Sentrius RG1xx LoRa Gateway from Laird adds Bluetooth and WiFi Connectivity for Flexibility in IoT Network Deployment
Basingstoke, UK – 25 July 2017 – Alpha Micro Components announces the availability of the Laird Sentrius RG1xx LoRa-Enabled Gateway, a LoRa Gateway device which also offers enterprise dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.x, and Ethernet connectivity. Laird’s Sentrius RG1xx Gateway provides multi-protocol connectivity for long-distance IoT sensors and devices, creating actionable IoT intelligence for industrial and enterprise class applications.
Based around the Semtech SX1301/SX1257 chipsets, the gateway offers LoRa LPWAN connectivity for up to 10 miles (16km). LoRa packet forwarder software is preloaded, allowing for highly scalable, flexible IoT networks right out of the box.

The Sentrius RG1xx Gateway works with Laird’s Sentrius RM1xx Series LoRa + BLE certified modules, and is also compatible with all LoRaWAN certified devices. It features eight-channel LoRaWAN support with up to +27dBM max transmit power, and has comprehensive FCC and CE certifications.
The Sentrius RG1xx LoRa gateway has the reliability and security features needed for industrial and enterprise applications. It works over a wide temperature range, from -30ºC to 70ºC, and features enterprise-grade wireless security. Industry-leading support is provided by Laird engineers.
Alpha Micro is also now carrying the Sentrius RG1xx-M2 Concentrator Card from Laird, a pluggable M2.COM LoRaWAN adapter. Based on the M2.COM IoT communications card standard, the RG1xx-M2 card is a high-performance, certified LoRaWAN gateway interface that can be easily integrated into a Linux-based platform. The compact M2-based module leverages Laird’s RF expertise and Semtech drivers for improved RF performance over a wide operating temperature range of -30ºC to 85ºC. Comprehensive support is provided, including a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty as well as integration and design support from Laird’s dedicated Engineering Services team.
